Deuces Wild Video Poker plays just like any other video poker
machine: you're dealt 5 cards and you get to decide which cards to keep and
which ones to discard. (5 card draw, they call it in traditional poker.) See how
to play video poker for an overview of playing the game, and if you're not sure
whether or not you even want to try it, check out the article on why to play
video poker.
But unlike Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild is a wild card game, and all deuces are
wild. This difference has significant effects on both the appropriate strategy
for the game and for the payouts.
A wild card is a card that substitutes for whichever card would make your poker
hand the best poker hand possible. This of course increases the chances of
getting a good hand, and the pay tables for Deuces Wild reflect that difference
by requiring a better hand in order to win.
2s are wild. Special paylines in the paytable for 5 of-a-kind, Wild Royal w/2s,
and 4 deuces.
Each 1-hand Video Poker game can be played for $.05, $.25, $.50, $1.00 or $5.00
and you may play from 1 to 5 coins per hand. Depending on the amount of coins
played, the game will highlight the payout column in order for there to be no
confusion as to how much you are playing for on any particular game.
Multi-Hand Video Poker (3 or more hands) can be played for $.01, $.05, $.25,
$.50 or $1.00 and you may play from 1 to 5 coins per hand. In addition, players
can choose from 3 hands, 10 hands, 52 hands or 100 hands. If you are playing a
game that consists of 3 or more hands, you can click on the Paytable button to
view the payout table and the proper column will be highlighted based on the
amount of coins played.
Please see the pay table on this machine for additional information.
